Hello and welcome

First off, a sneak tiny peek at the introduction to my book:

".......Why are we alive? Are we here to exist or to truly live? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why does it seem like evil prevails? Why do people hurt the ones they love? Why does it feel like God isn’t answering me? Why do I feel so alone at times in such a big world? Why aren’t things fair? Why am I not happy? Why me? Why now?

A thousand “whys” later, we’ve buried ourselves in a pit of sorrow and frustrations. Then, twenty years go by (because we know how fast time ticks on) and we're no further than we were before. Still struggling emotionally, financially, spiritually, etc. Playing the "blame game" as if it's somebody Else's fault and not ours.

Well, if only we sought and thirsted for answers half as much as we do for these questions, they wouldn’t be questions at all, but rather insights to explain this journey we call life. A disastrously beautiful adventure. A personal quest in seeking purpose and passion!

The most marveling moment I’ve experienced and continue to experience as you read this book is what I call “reversal philosophy”. Transforming these questions into ‘Why am I so blessed?’ "What can I do to better the world?" "Who can I lend my talents and strengths to?" "How many smiles can I give to a stranger today?" ......"

My 2014 goal is to start, edit, finish, and beginning the publishing process of this book, finally. There isn't a week that goes by that someone doesn't mention something about me writing a book.

On to the blog,

What's it going to be about?

Simple answer: Life

Complex answer: A multidimensional, multi-faceted approach to understand the entire spectrum of life and how our part pans out in it all. To seek, know, thrive for wisdom and understand how to bring out our best possible self and truly live life how it's meant to be lived. Victoriously.

The topics will be wide and far. I'll be covering anything from sports or how to be a man and wear flannels, all the way to divinity and why I think Christianity and belief in God is vital and explains a lot about our time here. My goal is to reach out to a huge crowd of people and thrive off reader interaction.

Basically, we're both in for a ride.

I promise to:

  • Deliver quality, regular content so long as I have a sound reader base on the blog. The more people are reading and commenting, the more I'll blog.
  • Keep posts based on quality over quantity. I'll save the expansive reading for my book. My posts shouldn't take more than 3-5 minutes to read. It'll just be elaborated facebook statuses (as many of you have read.)
  • Help impact your life in some way or another. I'm not going to change it or be a saving grace. I believe that's up to a power beyond me. But I'll do my part the best that I can to ignite the spark in your heart.
  • Balance seriousness and humor. Captive readers with deep, meaningful topics while also throwing in humor to keep things interesting.
  • Listen to, interact with, and take serious any and all readers thoughts and comments. You guys are the gasoline to this engine. I'm not blogging or writing for me, it's for you.

So stand by for my first post which will be about New Years and the concept of resolutions...and why I think they're both great and terrible!

Question of the day: What's a topic you would like to see me write on in the near future?
